The Board of Directors

   Mrs. Covert has years of administrative, classroom, and educational experiences. As an administrator, teacher, coach, instructional and athletic director,

 

   Mrs. Covert consults with students, families, and professionals in college and career readiness, school guidance of today's youth, digital communications, classroom management strategies, essential elements of instruction, including curriculum design, development, lesson planning, and improving writing instruction.

   Mrs. Covert serves TSYIL, as a youth leader and coordinator of transitional career planning from high school into post-secondary pathways. She coordinates summer mentor and intern matches. 

  Dr. Carolyn Hamblin is the current Dean of the Mohave Community College Bullhead City Campus. She’s been with MCC since 1990, when she started as an associate faculty member at the Fredonia Center teaching math, psychology and computer information systems.  She was hired as the director of student services on the North Mohave campus in 2003. 

 

 Dr. Hamblin's responsibilities include, providing leadership and maintaining a strong working relationship with the academic chair and student services director. Provide leadership in strategic budget planning and development, crisis management, multi-year tactical and annual operational goals, and in program implementation and evaluation for the campus.

   

   Dr. Hamblin serves TSYIL and the adult students finalizing career planning during post-secondary training.

Devin Porter

   Devin Porter is currently a radiology technician at Western Arizona Medical Center.  Prior to her employment with WARMC, she was the president of the radiologic technology class of 2018 school club, The Skeleton Crew. She held this position as of August 2016-August 2018. She has an extensive background in service work and fundraising.

 

   While attending college, she was an active member of the  Advisory Board at Mohave Community College from August 2017-August 2018. In April 2017 I was awarded the Student Leadership Award. In April 2018 I was awarded the Pinnacle Award. 

Mayor Tom Brady

Honorary Board Member

   Mayor Brady was first elected November 2014, his current term expires November 2022.

   A Bullhead City resident since 1982, Brady worked for Mohave County for 19 years, retiring in 2002 from the position of Parks Director.

   Thirty-seven years in Bullhead City, coupled with nearly four decades of experience working closely with county, state, and federal governmental agencies, provide Brady with considerable municipal government expertise, particularly relating to state and federal land use, water use and planning, park development, road and infrastructure improvements and economic development. His extensive resume also includes volunteer positions with numerous professional, civic and community organizations and non-profits.
